### Frog in The Well - Puzzle

A frog at the bottom of a well, which is sixteen feet deep, tries to get out of it. Each day he jumps up four feet but slips back three.

At this rate how many days will take to reach, the top of the well?

1. I think he makes it out on the 13th day...

2. 16 days.

3. 13 days because it jumps 12 feet for 12 days in the day of 13th it will directly jump out of the well 4 feets

4. 14 Feet.

5. each day he jumps up 4 feet but slips back 3 i.e. each day he actually jumps upto only 1 feet.so he will reach the top in 16 days

1. i think you cannot explain it perfectly.

6. 13 is oly the correct answer!

7. 13,as on the last day when he jumps 4 feet he's out of the well

8. after 13 days

9. the correct answer is 13, the day his jump takes him to the top!

10. 4 feet up and 3 feet down a day ,so he makes 1 feet a day .so for 12 day 12 feet and on 13th day he jumps 4 feet and make it on dat day

11. Only 13 days.
because it jumps 12 feet for 12 days in the day of 13th it will directly jump out of the well 4 feets.

12. If 16' equals exit from well then 12 days, otherwise it is 13 as it would mean 16'+x'

13. on the 13th day, it will jump again 4 feet which makes it jump to the outside. so it's 13 days

16. Its on 13th day :-)

17. 16 days is not the proper answer
as on 12th day frog reaches up to height of 12 feet so now on 13th day if he jumps of 4 more feet then he reaches to the entire height of 16 feet which means frog is now on the top of well.
